Mornin was built around one idea: the first cup of the day deserves a great mug. We source and curate small-batch ceramic mugs made with quality materials and traditional techniques — pieces that feel different the moment you pick them up.
Small-Batch Quality
Every mug we carry is produced in limited runs. We work directly with ceramics studios that prioritise material quality and consistent craft over volume. When a batch sells out, it sells out.
Food-Safe & Durable
We only sell mugs glazed with lead-free, cadmium-free, food-safe finishes fired at high temperature. Dishwasher-safe and chip-resistant — built for daily use, not just for display.
Thoughtfully Sourced
We partner with studios in Romania and across Europe that share our values: honest materials, responsible production, and ceramics made to last. Nothing disposable, nothing mass-produced.
How it started
Mornin started in 2023 when our founder Radu spent months trying to find a ceramic mug he actually liked — one that felt right in the hand, held temperature well, and didn't look like it came off an assembly line. He couldn't find one in Romania. So he started sourcing directly.
He connected with small ceramics studios producing quality stoneware in limited runs. The first batch of 50 mugs sold out in a week through word of mouth. A website followed, then a second batch, then a third.
Today, Mornin ships across Romania and Europe. We still work with the same small studios and the same principle: only mugs we'd actually use ourselves make it to the shop.
